Regarding story, the first chapter of de Vietri’s Captcha series was a clever yet discursive journey, whereas this second chapter is a love story, focusing on the protagonist Desmodowe’s inner-and-outer struggle, his longing for his beloved Siseelley, and his delusions of wishful thinking.

Regarding process, Chapter Two continues with the brilliant concept of using CAPTCHA (“Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart”) words as fodder to abstractly concatenate a fantasy story; storyteller Gabrielle de Vietri’s prudence, placement, and fastidious care with these CAPTCHA vocables results in pitch-perfect zaniness. It’s porn for poets; Game of Thrones for licentious linguists; wordplay for weirdos.
